ADOPTION EVALUATION

In a way to help achieve permanency for children, I strive to complete thorough and succinct private adoption evaluations. I work with step-parents, grandparent, relatives and others in completing their adoption evaluations. These evaluations were previously known as "home studies". While I do observe the home, I will also interview everyone who lives in the home (full-time or part-time) and assess the safety of the child in the home to evaluate the permanency needs for the child. This is completed according to the Texas Family Code and in a way to evaluate the best interest of the child.
